Directorate of Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES)
The Directorate of Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) of Osun State University is dedicated to preparing students for the modern labour market through practical industrial training and professional exposure.
Through the Students’ Work Experience Programme (SWEP) and SIWES initiatives, the Directorate enables students to acquire practical industrial skills, professional competencies and entrepreneurial knowledge necessary for career success within Nigeria and internationally.

- Reduced need for physical visits by students.
Agricultural Enterprise Initiative
- Collaboration with the College of Agriculture, Ejigbo.
- Retention of agriculture students on campus during SIWES.
- Development of agro-allied enterprise opportunities.
- Contribution to University Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
Strategic Projection
The Directorate continues to strengthen the delivery of SWEP and SIWES programmes through improved digital administration, strategic industry partnerships and enhanced entrepreneurial training. These initiatives support the mission of Osun State University to produce highly skilled graduates capable of contributing meaningfully to national and global development.
