Final Accounts & Report Unit
The Final Accounts and Report Unit of the Bursary Department, Osun State University serves as the central financial reporting unit responsible for consolidating financial activities from all bursary units. The Unit prepares statutory financial reports, reviews accounting records, and provides accurate financial information to University Management, Council, Government regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.

Functions and Responsibilities
The Final Accounts Unit serves as the culmination point of financial activities within the Bursary Department. It evaluates financial operations from all units and prepares comprehensive financial reports that provide a clear picture of the University's financial position.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and report on management accounts and financial statements
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial reports
- Provide financial information to management and governing Council
- Support institutional financial planning and transparency
Financial Review & Control
- Review trial balances and accounting summaries
- Confirm accuracy of accounting records
- Perform balancing and confirmatory procedures
- Raise journal vouchers to correct accounting errors
Records & Documentation
- Call-over of receipt and payment vouchers
- Confirm correctness of accounting codes and documents
- Retrieve financial records for audits and investigations
- Maintain archive records for financial verification
Audit Coordination
- Coordinate statutory audit of university financial statements
- Invite external auditors for annual audit exercises
- Agree audit schedules with external auditors
- Respond to management letters issued by auditors
Government Oversight
- Interface with Auditor General and Accountant General offices
- Receive representatives of financial regulatory agencies
- Respond to audit queries raised by regulatory authorities
- Ensure compliance with government financial regulations
Accounting Systems Management
- Create and manage accounting codes
- Communicate accounting structures to relevant units
- Ensure proper financial classification across the university
- Support standardized financial reporting systems
